4. Connect the hose: Attach one end of the hose to the drain valve and place the other end into the bucket or drain tray to collect the water.
5. Open the drain valve: Use a spanner or wrench to slowly open the drain valve. Let the water flow out steadily.
6. Wait for the system to drain: Allow the water to drain completely from the system. While it’s draining, you can inspect the condition of the drain valve and surrounding components.
7. Close the drain valve: Once all the water has drained out, securely close the drain valve by turning it in the opposite direction.
8. Refill the system: Disconnect the hose and refill the system with clean water. Check the pressure gauge to ensure it reaches the desired level.
9. Check for leaks: After refilling, turn the heating system back on and inspect all pipes and connections for any signs of leakage.
