FAQ

Don’t worry, all you need to do is provide access to the property. If there’s anything specific we need from you in advance, we’ll confirm that with you when we book vour installation.

Every installation is different, but the vast majority are completed in one day. If we think your installation will take longer (maybe you live in a 20 room mansion, or you’re having an entire central heating system installed) we’ll confirm that with you in advance when we book your installation.

No, as long as someone is there to let us in on the morning of the installation and you have a spare key – you can leave us to carry on with the work.

We complete the vast majority in one day, however, if the installation is going to take more than one day, you may be without heating and hot water overnight (don’t worry, you’ll have running water, so you still make a cuppa tea). We always plan our jobs to minimise any disruption to your utilities, and we also provide a courtesy heating service for installations that will take more than one day.*

*Please note that we have a vulnerable customer policy which means we always prioritise customers such as the elderly or families with very young children.

No hot water is one thing, but we don’t expect you to cope without WI-FI, this isn’t the Stone Age. We’ll usually be able to isolate the gas, electric and cold water supply in the areas where we are working so the gas, electric and cold running water shouldn’t be disrupted.

We keep any disruption to an absolute minimum. Before we start we prep your home and take great care to ensure that areas including carpets and work surfaces are protected as appropriate. It would be great if you could remove any ornaments from the working area around the boiler and radiator positions. We complete the vast majority of our jobs in one day, and when we’ve finished our engineer will clean up, they all have Henry vacuums in their vans to make sure we leave your home spic and span.

Yes, we’ll need to know where your utility meters are and the mains water stopcock. Don’t worry, plenty of our customers have no idea, our engineers have become quite apt at investigating. Our engineer will also assist you if any carpets or laminate flooring needs to be taken up or furniture moved.

Of course! Before we go we’ll show you how to use your new system including how to set the timer and answer any questions (don’t worry if you forget, you can always give us a call, we have an excellent after care service).

We’ll also show you how to bleed your radiator and fill the water pressure so you can keep your central heating system as efficient as possible and cut those utility bills.

Is your home's heating putting you under a lot of pressure?

You can reduce your energy costs with an A-rated boiler and Nest Learning Thermostat. Replace your boiler or book a repair.
